Three Twins Vineyard Napa Valley

The 11,000-vine, Three Twins Vineyard is located in the hills above St. Helena, at an elevation of 700 feet on the northern slopes of Lake Hennessey. The property was originally an old cattle ranch until 2005, when proprietor Richard Talmadge redesigned the vineyard.

Cabernet Sauvignon clones 2, 15, 169, 337, and 685 are spread across steep, undulating hills, separated into five blocks. Abundant morning sun gives way to moderated afternoon temperatures from the gentle updrafts off Lake Hennessey. Groves of olive trees, stone fruits, citrus, and date palms also thrive in this microclimate. Cool breezes temper the hot summer days, allowing for slow, even ripening throughout the growing season. The soils, a mix of volcanic ash atop a layer of gravel and flint, allow for enough vine struggle to yield wine grapes of the highest quality.

The first official vintage of Cabernet produced from the Three Twins Vineyard was from the 2010 harvest.
